A great new show!
Mar. 30th, 2010 10:28 pmI've always enjoyed nature/wildlife shows, so loving The Discovery Channel's show Planet Earth was a given--as was watching their new show Life. It's an eleven part series narrated by Oprah Winfrey and so far, other than having to watch a few animals die-which i'm not fond of-I've really liked it. I'm four episodes into the series, which airs on Sunday nights. I definitely would encourage everyone to check it out. Not sure it's going to beat out Planet Earth, but an excellent show none-the-less. Maybe I should mention that it's in high def, which means that the visuals are amazing! :)
I did have to laugh a bit, as one of the episodes that aired this past Sunday was talking about Reindeer, and how when the flies annoy them too much, they move to higher ground where it's colder because the flies won't follow. Anthony made an observation that the reindeer should evolve and become like Pikachu so they could zap the flies. They would also have the voice of Sean Connery while the flies would have the face of Alex Trebec-a reference to an old SNL skit. It was so funny when he said that-doing the voices and everything-I lol'd *hard*. Was too much fun!
Anyway, I'm definitely looking forward to the next episodes. Too bad I have to wait for Sunday to come around though...
